피사 산맥 남쪽 끝자락의 본 트랙은 대단한 뷰를 가지고 있으며 빠르게 접근이 용이

오클랜드에서 퀸스타운 내려 온 후 4년만에 두 번째로 올라 선 본 트랙은 엊그제 때 아닌 여름 폭설로 일부 구간 트랙 타는데 어려움도 있었지만, 땀 좀 흘리고 일단 능선에 오르면 시원하고 아름다운 이 일대의 파노라믹한 뷰 감상하고 시원한 공기 들이키며 산책하는 기분으로...

 

사고 이후 아직 회복되지 않은 몸 이끌고 잔설이 많이 남아 있는 다소 어려운 트랙을 집사람과 땀 흘리며 왕복 3시간여 트랙을 4시간에 걸쳐서 마치고 돌아 옴.

This track at the southern end of the Pisa Range gives quick access to great views.

 

Advanced : Tramping track(조금은 어려운 코스 어드벤스 코스).

 

Follow an old 4WD track as it zigzags up from the car park to the transmitter station at Rock Peak. For the adventurous

and well-equipped, the track continues to Tuohy’s Saddle.

 

Getting there

Access to Rock Peak is from the top of the Crown Saddle, SH89.

Know before you go

- In summer, very hot and dry conditions are common. Carrying an adequate supply of both drinking water

and sun protection is essential.

- In winter, mountaineering experience is required along with knowledge of avalanche conditions.

- Firearms are not permitted on easements through private property including transportation in vehicles.

Entry with a firearm is permitted via the Crown Saddle Car Park.
