5. Te Rau Puriri Reginal Park.

247Hectare(대략 75만평)의 광활한 대지에 그림같이 펼처져 보이는 아름다운 공원.

 

공원입구(140m) 능선고지

출발선에서 내려다 본 목초지 및 Kaipara 항구.

 

Te Rau Puriri 공원은 South Head RD 남쪽 Kaipara 반도에 위치하고 있는 대략 75만평의  광활한 공원이다(Te Rau Puriri is a 247 hectare property at South Head on the South Kaipara Peninsula). 공원은 오클랜드 리져날이 2006년 리져날 파크로 사용하기 위하여 Rodney District Councils 로부터 구입하였다(The park was purchased by the Auckland Regional and Rodney District Councils for use as a regional park in 2006). Te Rau Puriri 공원은 오클랜드 서쪽으로 1시간 운전거리이며,  오클랜드 중심지로 부터 80분 거리에 있다(Te Rau Puriri is an hour's drive from west Auckland and about 80 minutes from central Auckland).

In the short term the ARC will continue to manage the property as a farm. Although it will not be fully developed for some time, the public will be able to access it in the meantime.

 

Te Rau Puriri 공원은 The Kaipara Harbour 에서 최상의 비치 중 하나를 가 볼 수 있으며, 그리고....때문이다(Te Rau Puriri is unique because it offers access to one of the best beaches on the Kaipara Harbour and the major lake (Lake Ototoa) on the peninsula). Lake Ototoa is currently the best fresh water lake in the Auckland region. Te Rau Puriri 공원은 하루 방문이 이상적이며, 방문자는 소풍, 낚시, 안전하게 수영을 할 수 있는 곳이기도 한다(Te Rau Puriri is ideal for day visits. Visitors can picnic, fish and swim safely). Te Rau Puriri was purchased for $5.4million. Rodney District Council has contributed $800k of this and will work with the ARC to plan the future of the land as a regional park.

 

Together with Rodney District Council, the ARC look forward to providing greater public access to the Kaipara Coast and recreational opportunities for local and regional communities to an area which has previously been largely inaccessible. As well as extensive recreation values, the property offers opportunities for restoration of forest and wetlands projects that the people of the Auckland region are becoming increasingly interested in being involved with(자료 : ARC).

Future Park - Still under development

지금 마무리 목초지 부분 공원 조성 공사가 진행 중이며 백색 해변가 비치는 완공이 되어서 부분 개방이 된 247Hectare(대략 75만평)). South Head RD 능선 도로를 따라 Kaipara 반도(半島,Peninsula)상에 위치하여 조성되고 있는 뉴질랜드 아름다운 목초지 및 해안가 공원 중 하나. 그리고 공원 입구에 도착해서 레비게이션을 보니 해발 140미터.  능선따라 비치까지 내려 갔다가 능선을 타고 다시 초입로로 올라와야 하는데, 돌아 오는 데 반대편 반도 바다에서 계곡을 타고 내려오는 산골바람이 어찌나 강풍인지...... 그리고 대략 왕복 7,8킬로 거리에 도보 2시간 거리의 하루 즐기기에 알맞은 공원. Kaipara Habour 의 Waipiro Bay 해변가까지 내려갔다가 올라오는 트램핑. 공원 크기는 도로 좌우측으로 점선 부분 247헥타(대략 75만평 정도).
